 Introducing YBA Design
From the Yves Bernard Andre comes a new line of gear simply called YBA Design. The first two
pieces, an integrated amplifier known as the YA201 and the YC201 music
lovers’ CD player, feature a sleek new chassis that is mostly black with
some elegant silver highlights. They look like a million bucks and sound
even better. In keeping with the YBA tradition and improving upon the
impressive Audio Refinement gear of the last several years, these new
pieces are more tube-like in character than most other high-end solid
state offerings. They lean ever-so-slightly to the sweeter side of
neutral, but not so much as to make you tire of their sublime
musicality. The increased power in the integrated amp provides excellent
punch and dynamic impact, while the CD player does a great job of making
your digital recordings sound just the way you always wished CDs would
sound. Each component is great in its own right, but the combination is
truly magical—especially for the bargain price of $1,495 each.
